Chronology of cameras birex
"Birex" is a trademark registered in 1980 by Hi-Lite Industries Limited in Singapore. It has been expired since 2001. The main business of this company was the manufacturing of clothing, with wholesale trade of optical equipment and supplies (excluding binoculars) as a secondary activity.

During collection visits, various models of 110-format cameras with many similarities are encountered, all manufactured in Singapore in the late 1970s. The term "pocketpak" (in lowercase) appears in the name of several of these models. The manufacturer remains unknown, although credit is given to them for a large number of cameras sold under various brands.
